THE ROLE OF INDOMARET BESIDE CAMPUS GUNADARMA J1 FOR COLLEGE STUDENTS



ABSTRACT


A grocery store or minimarket (English: convenience store) is a small shop that is easily accessible to the public or locally. This kind of shop is generally located on a busy street, a fueling station (gas station), or a train station. Grocery stores that are often found in densely populated urban locations. More still traditional and conventional grocery stores, where buyers cannot take their own items, because the shop shelves are not yet modern and become a barrier between sellers and buyers. one of them is Indomaret.
            The word grocery has a fairly old history. This word refers to instruments of sound that are always carried by merchants around China when peddling their merchandise in the past. This grocery is a mini-stemmed drum (tambourine) and on both sides is given a short rope with round seeds at the end. These mini trays can be made of cans, leather, or cement paper. Moved to the left and right on the stem, the round seeds will "beat" this drum with the sound of grocery-grocery. The person in the house will immediately find out that the traveling goods vendor is passing by at his house to hear the sound of this typical grocery. At that time the vendor was called Tjina kelontong.

First of all, thanks to God because of the help of God, writer finished writing the Research entitled “ THE ROLE OF INDOMARET BESIDE CAMPUS GUNADARMA J1 FOR COLLEGE STUDENTS ”. We do not forget to say thank you to Miss Latifa Noviana as our courses English 2 lecturer.
Our aim conducting this research was to find out the role of Indomaret for college students at the campus Gunadarma J1 and to fulfill the assignment of English 2 courses.
We do this research from our own observations through the daily lives of our own campus college students at Gunadarma J1
We realize there are still not perfect in the preparation of the results of this research. Therefore, we expect criticism and input from all parties to improve the results of this study.

CHAPTER 1: PRELIMINARY


1.1  BACKGROUND

Indomaret is a minimarket that provides basic needs and daily needs of people who are familiar in Indonesia. The owner of Indomaret is Salim Group. The first store with the name Indomart was opened in Ancol, North Jakarta, on June 20, 1988, managed by PT. Indomarco Prismatama. Its headquarter is in Jakarta. Indomaret is often found in big cities, as well as in areas far from Jakarta. Indomaret has a lot of rivals, as we know, today that there are more and more mini markets in Indonesia. even so, now Indomaret successfully expanded its outlets in various parts of Indonesia. One of the Indomaret that we research is Indomaret which is beside to the Gunadarma J1 campus, more precisely Indomaret which is located on Kalimalang street (JL. KH. Haji Noer Ali, Jakasampurna, Bekasi Barat)


1.2  FORMULATION OF THE PROBLEM

1. What do college students do when they visit at Indomaret beside to campus
    Gunadarma J1 ?
2.  Are there other visitors except college students?
3.  What facilities are available so that college students like for a long time there?


1.3  RESEARCH PURPOSE

1. To find out why college students like to visit Indomaret beside to campus Gunadarma J1
2. To find out who are visitors who come besides college students
3. To find out what facilities are available




 CHAPTER 2: DISCUSSION


This time we researched about Indomaret which is located beside the Campus Gunadarma J1. This research we did by visiting the Indomaret outlet directly. It location is close to the Campus Gunadarma J1 , which is our campus, so we can do research easily, where we often visit there.

Based on the results of our research, about the visitors Indomaret beside campus Gunadarma J1, the average visitors is a college students at Campus Gunadarma J1, the main reason is close to campus. College Students often sit on the chair provided by Indomaret, usually during empty hours / breaks. The thing they usually do there is chatting with friends after finishing college, doing assignments, playing games, and just eating. Not infrequently they sit for a long time at Indomaret.
Apart from college students, it is not uncommon for road users to stop by to buy something and stop by for a while to rest, they also look comfortable with the available facilities.
In terms of the facility Indomaret beside Campus Gunadarma J1 it is Indomaret point. Therefore they provide desk and chair facilities, wifi, brew instant noodles, fast food, and ready-to-drink drinks such as coffee and sweet drinks. This is what makes the Gunadarma J1 college students very comfortable lingering there. For most collage students, places that provide Wifi service also get good grades. Even though the Campus Gunadarma J1 also provides Wifi facilities.





CHAPTER 3 : CLOSING 


CONCLUSION:

The conclusion that we got from this research was that Gunadarma J1 college students who came there usually work assignments and chatting with friends, as well as visitors other than college students. the facilities available are also good and the service is friendly.
